A folding chair for waiting in public spaces.

Different kinds of waiting were identified through observation. Depending on how long the person has to wait they will either sit down or lean against railings or information boards.

Inspired by natural protective forms, the aim of the project was to create a space where people could feel protected, comfortable and within view of information.

If you have a few minutes to wait, fold down the seat down into the leaning position. If you have longer to wait, fold the seat into the sitting position and relax. When you leave the seat folds up again automatically to save space.
